Those First Six Months...Start With Good Habits.
Surviving Probation
Have a cellular phone or pager. Never sign in late.
Pack for as many days as you're legal for.
During Transistion each month, plan on flying.
Know your contract.
Don't try to find shortcuts in the system.
Never break FAR's.
Keep you Manual up-to-date at all times.
Never fly without your manual and other required items.
Ask IFS or a Union Rep. if you are not sure about something.
The Pilot Contract and work rules are different than Flight Attendants.
Pack some food with you. If Murphy's Law kicks in you may not get a chance to get food.
Drink lots of water and juice, not pop. Flying dehydrates you.

Things To Remember
Uniforms -- You need to be in regulation at all times. If you need to order a uniform piece, call Uniform Solutions (RnR Uniforms) at 800-565-6242 or visit the store in the DFW area located down the street from CenterPort. Uniforms that are on back order will be shipped to your home.
Manuals -- It is a FAR that it is your responsibility to keep your manual up to date at all times, no excuses. If you are caught by the FAA with an out of date manual, you can be fined $1,100 per page per flight you have flown with the manual out of date. $$$$ If the fine is not a big deal with you the fact that you can also lose your job, can happen to you also. And, you can never fly without your manual.
